Need sacred space? Need to relax?
At Liberate we honor the fact that being human is hard work. At our festival you can balance your weekend with healing arts to help you clear your mind, and find your flow. This is not your average music festival. You will leave this weekend feeling alive and full of good vibrations! Healing Arts are open to everyone, but space is limited in some of the classes to keep the quality high. Please bring your own mat or towel, water, and sense of adventure. You may reserve a spot in your top-choice classes when you buy your ticket. Please donate to your teachers whenever possible. Check out the Healing Arts Schedule

Liberate is for people of all ages. Throughout the weekend check out the Liberate Kid's Tent and let your creativity soar. Even if you're only a kid at heart, you can join the parade. In addition to scheduled classes for young Liberators, like Circus Yoga with Kelli Mae and Sam, Learn to Hula with Morgan, and Kids Yoga, kids can come to the tent and enjoy arts and crafts for the Liberate the Children Parade on Saturday. Be sure to bring your costumes from home, hats, and noise makers for the parade!

Live music can be used as the object of meditation. In this session you will turn your awareness inward to develop concentration, sensory clarity and equanimity noticing your subjective music experience. Then expand your awareness to the sound that music creates. In the heard let there just be the heard. Keep your attention with one pointed focus on external sounds noticing when your mind wanders and bringing it back. Deepen your concentration until there is no separation between the music and your self. Music provides a complex combination of energetic frequencies that can entrain our minds, resonate with our bodies and touch our souls. When this experience is shared by many people together, its effects are magnified offering insight into interdependence and oneness. Transform your live music experience into an opportunity for awaking and liberation!

Ian Hyman (DJ Hyfi) found his love for electronic music at the age of 15 when he began producing beats on synthesizers and drum machines. “Music was my first yogic practice, through making music, I experienced a state of heightened awareness that would come and go without explanation. When I was in that state, the inspiration would flow steadily and composing tunes was a breeze.” It was through his curiosity with this state of awareness, that he met a shaman who sparked his interest in human potential and the spiritual path. Seeking to learn more, he spent a year training intensively in a martial arts school where he eventually stumbled upon yoga. After realizing that he was more interested in yoga than martial arts, he shifted his focus to the mat and became certified to teach through Kripalu’s YTT. Through combining his DJ skills with his love for yoga and perspective as a teacher, he was able to create a deeper for students. He now spends most of his time on the road, ramping up the vibe for yoga classes and events around the nation. Ian’s DJ mixes are infused with a wide range of soulful, blissed-out electronic music.
Aaron Cantor is a freestyle yogi and embodiment artist. His teachings integrate ancient practices and contemporary expression into a playful and effective way to develop awareness and skill. He has spent over 15 years in Asia and South America studying different movement modalities. In addition to teaching around the US, he has been teaching internationally in Brazil, Israel, Germany, Switzerland, Thailand and India.
