Your Liberate Community

Our beautiful Vermont family land offers ample room for you to stretch out, camp, and get your groove on.  Liberate fans love the late night bonfires, drum circle, and impromptu music that comes to life every year!  Our guests with families and children can also enjoy the peace of the family camping area.

As temporary tenants of this land we ask guests to treat the land with respect, as if it were your own.  With this approach Liberate can continue for years to come.

Where is Liberate?

Sheldon is less than one hour N of Burlington, VT and approx. 1 1/2 hours S of Montreal, QC. Sheldon is under 4 hours from Boston and 6 hours from New York City. Use the interactive map below to generate custom directions through google maps.

FROM BURLINGTON, VT and the SOUTH:

  • Take I-89 North approximetly 25 miles.
  • Get off at exit 19 toward US–7/VT–104/VT–36/ St Albans.
  • Turn right onto Fairfax Rd/VT–104 at the 4 way stop after getting off of the interstate. There is a sign here that points to Sheldon: 11 miles.
  • Continue to follow VT–104.
  • Take a slight right at light onto Sheldon Rd/VT– 105/VT Route 105.
  • Continue to follow VT–105/VT Route 105 for roughly 11 miles into the town of Sheldon.
  • Turn right at Sheldon Elementary School onto Poor Farm Road.
  • Drive about a mile until you see 845, the first mailbox on your left says “Lanza,” Welcome!

Directions
FROM MONTREAL and the NORTH:

  • Head southwest on Boulevard Crémazie E toward Rue Saint-Denis- 1 km.
  • Take the ramp on the left onto QC-40/TC W – 4.0 km.
  • Slight left at QC-15 S/Route 15 S (signs for QC-10/QC-15/Montréal) – 15.9 km.
  • Continue on Route 10 E (signs for Québec/I-89/Vermont/Sherbrooke/30)- 16.0 km.
  • Take exit 22 for QC-35 toward I-89/Chambly/Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu/Saint-Luc – 0.3 km.
  • Keep right at the fork, follow signs for QC-35/89 and merge onto Autoroute de la Vallée-des-Forts S/QC-35 S/Route 35 S -18.6 km.
  • Slight left at Route 133 Entering United States (Vermont) – 40.2 km.
  • Continue on I-89 S Partial toll road -10.9 km.
  • Take exit 21 for VT-78 toward US-7/Swanton – 0.3 km.
  • Turn right at 1st St/VT-78 (signs for Swanton) – 1.3 km.
  • Turn left at Ethan Allen Hwy/Grand Ave/US-7 Continue to follow Ethan Allen Hwy/US-7 – 3.8 km.
  • Turn left at Woods Hill Rd – 7.1 km.
  • Slight left at VT -105/VT Route 105 – 3.4 km.
  • Turn right at Sheldon Elementary School onto Poor Farm Road.
  • Drive about a mile until you see 845, the first mailbox on your left says “Lanza,” Bien Venue!

Liberate recommend Pauline’s Quick Stop in Sheldon for any last minute needs, you’ll drive right by if you’re coming from the South.

If you don’t want to camp, stay at La Quinta St. Albans, only 11 miles away. Please mention Liberate when you reserve!

There will be delicious food options at Liberate and ice for sale. Though we don’t encourage it, vehicle re-entry is allowed. You will be searched every time upon re-entry. There is no glass and no pets allowed at Liberate. If you bring your own alcohol to drink, please keep it at your campsite and enjoy Magic Hat inside the concert area! Maximum of 1 case per person per day. As per the DLC’s regulations- we dont allow outside alcohol into the concert area.
